CDSA helps kids succeed in school and in life. We provide high-quality, affordable preschool, kindergarten-readiness, before- and after-school enrichment, and summer expanded learning opportunities that build the foundation for success. Our guiding strategies are to increase equitable access to services for all children and to ensure program quality.
CDSA programs serve over 1,200 children ages 3 – 12 every year and are located on-site in nine Seattle public schools. Our programs are based on educational best practices and research-based curriculum and use culturally and linguistically diverse materials in the classroom.
Working closely with school teachers and parents/guardians, our teachers and leadership team work to develop the intellectual, physical and social health of each child in a nurturing and fun environment. Families who enter our program are entering a network of assistance for their child that supports long term results – for nearly 40 years we have collaborated with our public school, government, and nonprofit partners to ensure that each child reaches their full potential.
