Are you passionate at providing high quality care to children? If so, we are looking for part-time Childcare Enrichment Teachers at Community Day School Association. We currently have positions open for Part-time up to 34 hours per week. Days are Monday through Friday; Core hours are 7 am to 6 pm- shift hours vary upon position/location.

Community Day School Association’s before and after school, preschool, and summer camp programs are located within 9 Seattle Public School locations. Established in 1977, our private non-profit organization serves 800 children ages 3-12, with high quality enrichment learning, and nationally accredited preschools. The families we serve are 70% low income, and speak 14 languages. Our highly skilled and well trained teams of teachers, many of whom are bilingual, help children succeed in school and in life.

Qualified candidates will have:

• A minimum of 2-years’ experience working with pre-school/school age children (4-12 years old)
• A minimum of 1 year related education required. An AA in education or related field is preferred but not required. On-going certification and training will be a requirement
• Strong communication skills; proven ability to communicate with children and adults in a positive and proactive manner
• Ability to create versatile and varied age-appropriate activities for children of different ages and developmental stages
• A demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and as a team member
• Evidence of completion of a minimum of 20 hours of Basic STARS training (must obtain within 90 days of hire)
• Must have a negative TB test result and keep all certifications such as First Aid, CPR and Food Handler’s current
• Strong group management skills needed as well as experience working with a diverse population and children with special needs
